1. THE PROBLEM
My sister (deceased) and a Jamaican, gave birth to a child in the Cayman Islands. The name of my sister is Venita Whitelock. The name of my sister on the child’s birth certificate is spelt Venita Whitelocke.
To get a Jamaican passport, the mother’s name on the child’s birth Certificate must be corrected.
2. CORRESPONDENCE WITH THE CAYMAN ISLAND OFFICE OF BIRTHS, DEATHS & MARRIAGES
In telephone and email correspondence with the office of Cayman Islands’Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages, I was told that they need a copy of the my sister’s passport valid at the time the child was born in order to verify that my sister’s name is VENITA WHITELOCK and not VENITA WHITELOCKE.
3. The child was born in 2004. The passport was destroyed in a 2014 fire. The office of the Cayman Islands’ Registrar of Births Deaths and Marriages is amiable to accept other forms of ‘proof of name’ that meets their standard
4. THE NATURE OF SERVICE REQUIRED.
I need the service of a private investigator to obtain documentation from sources such as, but not necessarily limited to the Cayman Islands Immigration Department that granted my sister the work permit and visa to work in Cayman in or around the year 2004, her employer who requested the work permit and the George Town Hospital where on 26 June 2004 her child was borned.
The respective document must have written on it the name Venita WHITELOCK or Venita WHITELOCKE as the name of the person encaging (in or around the year 2004) with each such organization. Any document obtained must be notorized.
